GT7 is one of the most distinctive operations in the Blue Hawk portfolio — a 1.1 to 1.4-megawatt Bitcoin mining facility in Utah powered not by natural gas, but by geothermal energy. This renewable, continuously available heat source provides electricity at a competitive and stable rate, insulated from the price volatility and regulatory exposure associated with fossil fuel generation. As one of a rare class of geothermally-powered mining operations in the United States, GT7 represents Blue Hawk’s commitment to exploring diverse, low-cost, and environmentally responsible power sources for Bitcoin production.
As an example you could install your own Mining hardware consisting of 265 units of the Bitmain S21+ Hydro, deployed within a Foghashing S1200 hydro-cooled container — the same premium hydro system used across Blue Hawk’s highest-performance sites.Â
At an effective power cost of 4.06 cents per kilowatt-hour and a possible Bitcoin production cost of $29,494 per coin — among the lowest in the portfolio — GT7 demonstrates that geothermal power can compete directly with stranded gas economics when the resource is well-matched to the mining load. The site produces approximately 0.96 – 1.12 BTC per month, generating steady, low-carbon Bitcoin with a cost structure positioned favorably across a wide range of market conditions.
