Site A5 HYD represents one of Blue Hawk’s flagship mining installations: a 2.2-megawatt hydro-cooled Bitcoin mining operation in South Texas, engineered for maximum throughput and long-term hardware integrity. The site leverages stranded natural gas — surplus gas produced in association with oil extraction that lacks pipeline infrastructure — and converts it into continuous electrical power via a Used CAT G3516 generator, a proven platform for sustained industrial generation in field environments.
At the core of the operation are 420 units of the Bitmain S21+ Hydro, housed in a Foghashing S1200 hydro-cooled container — the industry benchmark for immersion-cooling performance. This configuration delivers 166 petahash per second of total hashrate at an efficiency of 15 joules per terahash and a total power draw of approximately 2,010 kW. Hydro cooling eliminates the thermal limitations of air-cooled systems, enabling the ASICs to run at sustained peak efficiency regardless of ambient temperature — a decisive operational advantage in South Texas.
Site A5 HYD achieves an effective power cost of 4.06 cents per kilowatt-hour and a Bitcoin production cost of $29,775 per coin — placing it among the most cost-competitive sites in the entire portfolio. With monthly Bitcoin output of approximately 2.21 BTC, the site delivers institutional-scale production economics backed by proven CAT generation reliability and the long-term hardware longevity benefits of hydro-cooled operations.
